In News & Media, Women Rebuilding The World Trade Center

Ambra Melendez, an ironworker with Local 361, welded steel on the foundations of the Calatrava Transportation Hub, and towers 1, 2 and 3 World Trade Center. Ambra has an interest in architecture, and before becoming an ironworker, she worked as a concrete and steel inspector on high rise buildings.

Hear stories from Ambra and other inspiring women, as the 9/11 Tribute Museum and Women’s City Club of New York, in recognition of Women’s History Month, are pleased to re-present Women Rebuilding the World Trade Center.
