About Our 9/11 Tribute Museum

Experience the events of 9/11 from artifacts to personal stories

The Museum offers visitors the ability to learn factual information about the events of 9/11, the unprecedented rescue and recovery operation and the rebuilding of both Lower Manhattan and of people’s lives.

The Museum presents video, artifacts and “Person to Person History,” linking visitors who want to understand the historic events of 9/11 with those who experienced them. The visitor discovers the tremendous spirit of resilience and service that arose after the attacks, and are encouraged to honor the legacy of that spirit through volunteerism and acts of kindness in their own communities.

Highlighted exhibitions will include:
• Historical personal perspectives of 9/11
• Community response, recovery and rebuilding
• Evolution of 9/11 foundations serving the world
• Promoting Seeds of Service

  • It's touching, heartfelt, and hard. I felt very close to the families and victims in this space. The personal touch, plane tickets, jackets... pieces of the the lives lost there in front of you is very powerful.

  • The museum creators have taken time to tell so many stories of people who were connected first-hand to 9/11. And the exhibits are also hopeful, as they take time to tell of the many good things that have come about as a result of that day in history.

  • It's emotional, thought provoking, and gives one an even bigger sense of pride that this country could pull together in the face of such tragedy. The stories are personal, the artifacts are personal, and it is well worth the visit.

  • A must see for every American. Wonderful artifacts and stories of heroism, and all the good in our society, from strangers helping strangers, to fire and police that kept going up the stairs.
