Guests came together to celebrate the achievements of the volunteers over the past year

On Wednesday, December 6, the staff and volunteers of the 9/11 Tribute Museum gathered at the historic India House for the annual volunteer holiday gathering and recognition program. More than 120 people came together to celebrate the achievements of the volunteers over the past year.

Awards were handed out for various levels of participation with special recognition given to the volunteers who have given more than 500 walking tours, including Gerry Bogacz for his unmatched 650 lifetime walking tours.

Donations for raffle items were kindly received from the New York Jets, Sauce & Barrel, 111 Places That You Must Not Miss editor Karen Seiger, View Of The World Restaurant, and O’Hara’s Pub Restaurant Bar.

And a very special thanks to an anonymous donor for making this evening.

The holiday party is a wonderful opportunity for the docent family to get together and for bonding and inspiring each other to keep our mission alive.

I look forward to our annual holiday get together. It is important to me to show support and love for all of my fellow volunteers who have endured and are enduring so much…
