The 9/11 Tribute Museum is seeking 9/11-connected volunteers to share their stories with visitors.
Our upcoming volunteer training workshops are set for March 2-3, April 13-14, and June 1-2 2018 at the 9/11 Tribute Museum, located at 92 Greenwich Street in Lower Manhattan.
The training is an orientation to the museum and its programs on the first evening, followed by program demonstrations and a storytelling workshop the following day. A complimentary dinner is provided on the first evening of the workshop and a light breakfast and lunch are provided for Saturday’s session.
Training to become a volunteer is provided and no prior volunteer experience is required.
Volunteering At Tribute Has Been One Of The Best Things I Could Have Done Since 9/11. It Truly Makes Me Feel Connected To Those Who Have Experienced What I Have. But I’ve Also Learned What Others Have Been Through.
– 9/11 Family Member
The 9/11 Tribute Museum, a project of the September 11th Families Association and non-profit organization, offers visitors from around the world the opportunity to learn about the events of September 11th 2001 and post-9/11 recovery/rebuilding from those who were there or are personally connected to the events.
Every Tribute volunteer has a direct connection to 9/11, as a survivor, first responder/recovery worker, family member who lost a loved one or Lower Manhattan resident/employee displaced by the attacks. We are committed to sharing the mosaic of stories from all who experienced the attacks firsthand or its aftermath personally.
It is our duty to ensure that the tragedy of the day, the rebuilding of community and the resilience of humanity is never forgotten, and your story plays a vital role in fulfilling this mission.
Join the 9/11 Tribute Museum’s volunteer program and use your story to educate and inspire people from around the world about the events of September 11th 2001.
